In the boys’ meet, the Red Devils won all 12 events to down the Bulldogs, 151-33.
Jeff’s T Martin and Evan Shive each picked up four blue ribbons. Martin won the 200 IM and 500 freestyle while helping the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay teams prevail.

Daily, Lopez, senior Lucas Hennegan and freshman Cameron Simcoe made up Jeff’s victorious 200 free relay squad.
“Tonight was a good meet for the guys,” Gast said. “We had a lot of internal team races, trying to figure out the best places to race everybody. Across the board, our guys are swimming quick and having fun racing.”
Senior Luke Lete posted the best finishes for New Albany. He placed second in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
• Red Devils lose at Sacred Heart: Visiting Jeffersonville fell behind 18-4 after the first quarter and 35-16 at halftime to fall at Louisville Sacred Heart, the 10th-ranked team in Kentucky, on Thursday, 64-43.
Haley Vogen led the Red Devils with 14 points and nine rebounds. Teammate Taylor Sykes chipped in six points as Jeff extended its losing streak to four games.
“We’ve just gotten off to a slow start in every game this season,” Jeff assistant coach John Pait said. “We’re trying different lineups to get us going, but it just doesn’t seem to work. The girls have got to realize that once the tip goes up, you’ve got to be ready to play. But they’re getting better. We’re seeing some bright spots.”
NEXT: Jeff (2-4) hosts Columbus East, Saturday.
• Braves fall at Lanesville: Borden had no one score in double figures in a 38-25 loss at Lanesville on Thursday. Kristen Nestor paced Borden with eight points.
With Borden leading 11-10 at halftime, the Eagles took control of the game in the third quarter by outscoring the Braves, 16-4. Borden recorded a season low in scoring.
“We’ve kind of surmised after the game that we shot 10-of-52 from the field. That was pretty much our story from the game,” Braves’ coach Terry Rademacher said.
NEXT: Borden (4-3, 1-2 Southern Athletic Conference) hosts Shawe Memorial, next Thursday.
