New Albany Little League sign-ups
New Albany Little League will have baseball and softball registration on the following dates and times at Bearno’s on Charlestown Road in New Albany:
• Saturday, Jan. 12: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Sunday, Jan. 13: 1-4 p.m.
• Saturday, Jan. 19: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Sunday, Jan. 20: 1-4 p.m.
Players also can sign up online. Baseball players can register at www.eteamz.com/newalbany, while softball players can sign up at www.nallsoftball.com.

Jeff Classic events
The Jeffersonville High School wrestling team will have a few events in conjunction with the 2012 Jeff Classic on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Johnson Arena.
There will be an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7:30-10 a.m. in the Johnson Arena lobby. Cost is $6 and the proceeds will go toward the Red Devil wrestling program. During that time, there will be a silent auction on several donated items, which include Lasix eye surgery from the John Kenyon Eye Center, a Larry Bird autographed basketball and restaurant gift certificates.
In addition, there will be a food drive contest among the Jeff Classic teams during the tournament. The squad that brings food donations weighing the most will win the contest and receive a special award.
The 10 most-needed items for the food drive are peanut butter, soup, canned fruit, beans, rice, tuna, cereal, fruit juice, pasta and canned vegetables.
