Rebuild Marysville event raises money for town hit by tornado
Kirsty Travelstead of Marysville explained that as of Saturday morning, more than 300 T-shirts had been sold. For the event they had hopes of raising at least $5,000 from the T-shirts, food sales and the grill raffle.
Following the antique appraisal, a chili supper will be available at a cost of $5 per person, which includes drinks and dessert.
There will be free admission to the Interpretive Center and exhibitors and vendors with kids activities, entertainment, music and food.
Adults can join around the tables in the wine and beer garden to enjoy beer and award winning wine from Huber Winery.
Work on the garden started last October, after grants from City Pride, an organization dedicated to the beautification in Jeffersonville, and the Urban Enterprise Zone, were given to the Neighborhood Association.
Zimmer is making himself at home in New Albany with his new WE Gallery, located in the old Tumblebus Station along Main Street.
Following some discussion in which board members agreed to tighten up the program so that it only applies to existing buildings, members unanimously voted to approve the grant.
Beef’s departure leaves L & N Federal Credit Union as the only tenant in the building, a good portion of which is unfinished.
