New Wash selling regional tickets
New Washington High School is selling Class A West Washington Regional tickets in the school’s main office.
The tickets are $10 apiece and good for both sessions of Saturday’s regional. They will be on sale until noon on Friday, Feb. 15. Single-session tickets are $7 each and will be available at the door at West Washington.
The Mustangs will face Vincennes Rivet in Saturday’s first semifinal at 10 a.m. If New Washington wins, it will play in the championship game at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Marcum, Tinsley make Top 100 list
New Albany senior guard Tanner Marcum and Silver Creek senior forward Alex Tinsley are included in Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s Top 100 list of senior girls’ high school basketball players in Indiana during the 2012-13 season.
Sixty of these 100 players will be picked in a few weeks to participate in the magazine’s Top 60 Senior Girls’ Workout on Sunday, March 10 at Marian University in Indianapolis.

C’town alum selling copies of new book tonight
Chuck Ledbetter Sr., a 1961 graduate of Charlestown High School, will have autographed copies of his new book, “Pirates of the Hardwood,” on sale during tonight’s Charlestown home basketball game with New Washington.
The book, which is about the history of Charlestown High School basketball, will be sold in Charlestown Sports Arena lobby from 6-8.
Cost is $20 plus tax. The book also can be purchased at the Charlestown Public Library and the Charlestown Pirate Pride website at www.CharlestownPiratePride.com/PiratesOfTheHardwood.htm.

Leprechaun Run to take place on March 12
The Leprechaun Run, formerly The Shamrock, will take place on Tuesday, March 12, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The run will start at 300 Spring, 300 Spring St., Jeffersonville. Runners will run east on Chestnut Street, then go up Main Street and then go back west on Chestnut. The race will end at 300 Spring.
Check-in and late registration on race day will be from 4:30-6:10 p.m. at 300 Spring.
The pre-registration fee is $20 before Saturday, March 2. The entry fee after March 2 and on race day is $25. Runners can register at www.fastfred.com.

Henryville Spring Clinic
The Henryville Spring Volleyball Clinic will take place on four consecutive Wednesdays, starting Feb. 20 at Henryville High School’s Furnish Gymnasium.
The clinic will meet each day from 6-7:30 p.m. The clinic is open to girls from grades 5-8 from any school. Cost is $30 per player, which includes a T-shirt.

Jeff man to participate in Kids & Kubs celebration
Jeffersonville native Jim Barnett will participate in the 83rd anniversary celebration of the Three-Quarter Century Softball Club Kids & Kubs organization on Saturday, Feb. 23 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Barnett has played for the Kids & Kubs since 2009. He is United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years.

Bats’ Southern Indiana Night on June 7
The Louisville Bats will host Southern Indiana Night on Friday, June 7 at Louisville Slugger Field. The Bats will face the Norfolk Tides, with the first pitch taking place at 7:05 p.m.
Festivities will include post-game fireworks and special in-game giveaways.
Advance tickets are $6 each. Seats will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
