INDIANAPOLIS —
On Wednesday, the IHSAA announced the sectional assignments for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 academic years following the reclassification that took place earlier this year for football, boys’ and girls’ basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball.
Also on Wednesday, sectional assignments were made for next season’s two-class soccer system for both boys’ soccer and girls’ soccer.

• CLASS 5A SECTIONAL 8: Floyd Central, Jeffersonville, New Albany, Bedford North Lawrence, Castle, Evansville North, Jennings County.
• CLASS 3A SECTIONAL 23: Charlestown, Silver Creek, Brownstown, Corydon, Heritage Hills, Mitchell, North Harrison, Salem.
• CLASS 2A SECTIONAL 31: Clarksville, Providence, Crawford County, Pekin Eastern, Lawrenceburg, Monrovia, Paoli, Triton Central.
