JEFFERSONVILLE —
Jeffersonville girls’ basketball coach Jana Costner will resign effective June 1, according to a Greater Clark County Schools press release.
“I appreciate the opportunities I have been given at Jeffersonville High School and the professional guidance and support,” Costner said, according to the release. “I wish the program success in the future.”
Costner coached the program during the 2011-12 season, just one year after the Red Devils won the Class 4A state championship. Costner led the program to a 9-11 record, concluding with a 59-45 loss to eventual champion Bedford North Lawrence in the opening round of the Class 4A Seymour Sectional.
Prior to taking the Jeffersonville girls’ basketball coaching job, Costner served as the girls’ basketball coach at the Brown School in Louisville.
