LETTER: Referees’ poor display a bad example for kids

>>SOUTHERN INDIANA — High school students practice many hours each week to win their games. I’ve attended basketball games for 60 years. The New Washington vs. Madison Shawe Boys Basketball game in January was the worst officiated game I’ve seen. The team we played were excellent and would have won without help from the refs. I know they get very little pay for this job. The conduct of these men set very bad examples for young people. Someone needs to speak up for the hardworking kiddos. Am I the only one upset by this subject? — Sue “Grandma” Bare, New Washington
