Resident says intersection could be more safe
The traffic light at Middle Road and Allison Lane in Jeffersonville has a protected turn on three sides.
For some reason, the light on the Middle Road street side turning left onto Allison Lane is the only side not protected. This makes no sense at all since this is where people travel on their way home from work and it is continually backed up in the afternoon and evening hours.
It seems that the simplest solution would be to protect the Middle Road lanes in both directions simultaneously as is done with the Allison Lane turn lanes.
There have been accidents there because of this situation. The city has done a lot of good at this intersection with beautification and I hope the city will do something about this traffic situation before someone else is hurt there.
