Hats off to the organizers of “New Albany Historic Home Tour” held Saturday, Sept. 12. What a delightful day — meeting the owners, talking of remodeling adventures, and always something to learn form stain glass to landscaping ideas. The downtown apartments were impressive and loved by the occupants. Cardinal Ritter’s birthplace is a great example of classic Queen Anne architecture.
My only disappointment was my late start — leaving me with a couple of homes left to see when the clock struck 5 p.m.
I feel with the quality and precision of the tour, it will be even larger next year.
— Pat Harrison, New Albany
