Recently, while I was out of town, my two beagles got out of my yard. My family and friends searched for hours looking for them. When I returned, I went to the Animal Shelter to see if they had been turned in there. I was treated in a very rude manner, and I believe a very unprofessional manner. Initially, I had called them, but they said I had to come in and fill out a missing pet report. Others that I have spoken to since then have said they experienced the same rudeness. Why? That is what I want to know.
I care deeply about my pets and I was devastated that they were gone, and they made me feel even worse.
I want to publicly thank my family and friends who took the time to look for my “girls.” I want to thank Troy who took the time to find my number and called me when he thought he had found my dogs, and to thank Toni who finally corralled them in her garage. Lastly, I want to thank The Tribune and Evening News for running an ad in the paper, and, also, a couple of the employees at Feeder’s Supply who took the time to try and find them.
Unless you have experienced this type of loss, you probably don’t understand. Because of all of these individuals my “girls” are home.
