Eastern Star giving back Friday
At 6:30 p.m. Friday, at the New Albany Masonic Temple, 805 E. Market St., LaBelle Chapter Order of Eastern Star will be presenting two local charities with monetary gifts for the work they do to provide help for those less fortunate.
Order of Eastern Star is the largest World-Wide Fraternal organization for both women and men.
The community is invited to this event. Refreshments will follow the announcement.
Mansion’s open house coming up
The Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site’s Victorian Arts Festival and Community Appreciation open house will be from 1 to 5 p.m., June 4 to 5. Admission to this event is $1 per person. Select vendors will also be on the grounds selling handcrafted items, artwork, etc.
Visitors can also enjoy Art on the Parish Green at St. Paul’s Parish House located at 1015 E. Main St. also on June 4 to 5.
Culbertson staff and volunteers will be in period costume to answer questions as you guide yourself through the mansion. Carriage Rides on Main Street will be available through Art on the Parish Green.
The Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site is located at 914 E. Main St. in New Albany.
FLOYD COUNTY
Run for the Berries June 18
The annual Run for the Berries, a 4-mile run/walk, will begin at 8 a.m., June 18. The event begins and ends near the Floyd Central High School football stadium.
Registration is $17 for adults and $15 for teens 18 and younger. After June 1, the cost is $22 and $20 respectively, which includes a T-shirt. Entry fee with no shirt is $12.
There will also be a 1-mile fun run and 200 meter run for children 12 and younger.

Picnic in the Park kicks off Sunday
Art in Speed Park brings you the musical artistry of Kentuckiana’s finest talents on the last Sunday of every month leading up to the annual art show in August.
Kicking off the series will be “Troubadours of Divine Bliss” from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Speed Park, Sellersburg.

Clarksville High School class of 1981 will have its 30th class reunion, 6:30 p.m. to midnight, June 18, at the Holiday Inn, 505 Marriott Drive, Clarksville.

Event to benefit No Kill Louisville
An event to benefit No Kill Louisville at Turtle Run Winery will be from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Turtle Run Winery, 940 St Peter’s Church Road in Corydon.
One Third Wish will be performing at he event. There will be booths for various animal rescues and some adoptable dogs will also be at the event. There will be raffles, door prize giveaways, a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing, with all proceeds to NKL. Several free wine tasting areas will also be set up.
