NEW ALBANY —
Dress & Dwell and Colokial, Expressions of the World, are hosting a “Southern Belle” fashion show Thursday with a portion of the proceeds to benefit a worthy cause.
Burlap, Boots & Brooches will begin at 7 p.m. in the building the two downtown boutiques share at 138 E. Spring St. Tickets sales and 10 percent of purchases made that evening will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Kentucky Southeast Indiana Chapter.
Dress & Dwell and Colokial partnered for a charitable fashion show last year to benefit MS research.
“It was amazing, the turnout was great and people really enjoyed it,” said Colokial owner Sandra Abreu.
This year’s event will feature Southern appetizers and Sweet Tea Bourbon from Feast BBQ.
The fashion shows allow the boutiques to showcase style while helping the community, Abreu said.
“That’s the best way that you can show people what’s in fashion and what’s coming, and at the same time, help a cause,” she said.
Tickets are $15 in advance of the show and $20 if purchased on Thursday. The doors will open for Burlap, Boots & Brooches at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at Dress & Dwell or Colokial. For more information, call 812-725-7566.
