> SOUTHERN INDIANA —
Transit Authority of River City is reminding the public of changes to its Southern Indiana routes that are already effective.
• Route #71-Jeffersonville-Louisville-New Albany has taken over much of the same coverage area Route #22 previously serviced in New Albany and also provides access to downtown Louisville and Jeffersonville. Route #71 operates parallel to the State Street corridor on Bono Road a few blocks away.
• Route #82-New Albany-Clarksville Crosstown will serve State Street all the way to the Knobs View Apartments. This brand-new route also serves downtown New Albany, the Lewis and Clark and Veterans Parkway corridors in Clarksville and Jeffersonville and ends at the Meijer on Holmans Lane in Jeffersonville.
• Route #72-Clarksville no longer travels to New Albany, but provides more direct service to downtown Louisville. Route #82 will cover the same route as #72 between New Albany and Clarksville.
In addition, Route #22 will continue operating in West Louisville with the same service as before — the route is simply no longer traveling to Indiana.
