NEW ALBANY —
The public is invited to the 175th Anniversary and Dedication Celebration on Sunday, Nov. 25, as St. Marks United Church of Christ recognizes its long heritage in downtown New Albany. The church has just completed a major renovation of its education building, which houses the soup kitchen and clothes closet serving residents of New Albany, in addition to Sunday school classes and the chapel.
The celebration includes special guest speakers during worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by a celebratory dinner and a rededication of our “new” education building.
Building renovations have impacted the entire building, from the expanded kitchen facilities with all new equipment and cabinets, installation of an elevator lift, renovations to the Chapel and the repaved parking lot, to the new geothermal heating and air-conditioning system.
St. Marks United Church of Christ is located at 222 W. Spring St. in downtown New Albany. For more information contact the church at 812-923-8298 or visit the website at stmarksucc.org
