Follow Newsandtribune.com reporters and staff for up-to-minute updates on Twitter

You can follow reporters, editors and publishers at The Evening News and The Tribune on http://www.twitter.com. Readers can visit the individual links below to get information straight from those gathering the news and as it is happening.

Reporters plan on providing updates during local government meetings, school board meetings, court trials, accident scenes, press conferences and the other newsworthy events that take place in Southern Indiana on a daily basis.

“I’ve been pleased in our first newsroom usage of Twitter,” said Steve Kozarovich, publisher of The Tribune. “Some new technology doesn’t fit community journalism very well. However, Twitter allows us to communicate up-to-the minute news to tech-savvy readers without adding a large burden on the workload.”

Those with Twitter accounts can go to the links and click the “follow” button on each page to receive continuous updates on their own Twitter homepage. However, you don’t have to have an account in order to read the updates as RSS feeds also are available on the site.
