CLARK COUNTY —
A Borden man was seriously injured in an accident Thursday afternoon on U.S. 31 just north of Hamburg Pike in Clark County.
Jerry Cullins, 45, was injured when his red Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck collided with a Freightliner semi-tractor trailer driven by Scott A. Bell, 53, of Bedford.
A preliminary investigation reveals Cullins’ pickup truck was travelling north on U.S. 31 when it crossed the center line and struck the southbound tractor trailer head on . The driver of the semi-tractor and trailer was not injured but Cullins was transported by air ambulance to University Hospital in Louisville with life threatening injuries.
The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team is assisting in the investigation along with Indiana State Police Motor Carrier Officers.
Both drivers in the crash were wearing their seat belts.
