NEW ALBANY —
The Indiana Department of Transportation is advising motorists there will be temporary overnight lane restrictions on Interstate 265 in Floyd County beginning Thursday night, March 21.
The Hoosier Company will be installing camera towers and constructing Dynamic Message Board (DMS) box trusses along I-265 in various areas. Lane restrictions are anticipated for two hours at each location, between the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Ramps will remain open near affected areas. This work is part of the TrafficWise Intelligent Transportation Systems project in Clark and Floyd counties. INDOT’s TrafficWise traveler information service is an ongoing effort to improve the efficiency and safety of interstates and state highways using Intelligent Transportation Systems.

Emergency officials stage bus wreck, gas spill at FCHS
A school bus had turned over after being struck by a gas tanker, and as the truck leaked chemicals, emergency crews rushed in to try and rescue the kids who were trapped inside.
Thankfully Friday’s crash scene was only a simulation, but for Floyd County emergency officials, it was an important test to prepare them for a real life scenario. -
