NEW ALBANY —
WorkOne announced this week it will host a job fair for Amazon from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, at its New Albany location, 2125 State St., Suite 16.
The new Amazon Fulfillment Center, which is currently under construction, will be located at River Ridge Commerce Center in Jeffersonville. It is expected to be open in the fall.
Available positions include hourly roles in picking, packing and receiving/shipping with competitive starting wages that include company stock awards, plus medical, dental and vision benefits.
Candidates are encouraged to attend the event and apply for positions. Amazon staff will be onsite as well as WorkOne staff to assist candidates to complete the application process.
The new fulfillment center is anticipated to create more than 1,000 new jobs by 2015.
