JEFFERSONVILLE —
A Jeffersonville Police Department officer wrecked a patrol vehicle while responding to a call Monday afternoon.
Officer Amber Tharp was traveling on Holmans Lane when she lost control of the Ford Crown Victoria patrol car in the 3700 block at 2:09 p.m. The vehicle struck a utility pole on the side of the road, Jeffersonville Police Department Detective Todd Hollis.
Hollis said Tharp was responding to an attempted suicide call with the vehicle’s lights and sirens activated. Tharp was the only occupant in the patrol car at the time of the accident and suffered no injuries.
