NEW ALBANY — Eight vehicles, including two semi-trucks, were involed in an accident on Interstate 64 eastbound at the I-265 exit in New Albany Wednesday afternoon around 1:30. The highway had to be shutdown while authorities cleared the accident scene. There were no major injuries, although seven people were transported to Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
