NEW ALBANY —
Indiana conservation officers have identified the body of the male that was discovered in the Ohio River Saturday.
The body is that of Harry “Glen” Risinger, 57, of Everett, Wash. Conservation officers were able to locate family members, which along with the autopsy results, provided positive identification. Findings of the autopsy were consistent with drowning, but final determination will be made pending toxicology results.
Risinger had been missing since April 7 and a missing persons report had been filed with Louisville Metro Police Department in Kentucky.
According to Floyd County Coroner Leslie Knable, around 8:45 a.m. Saturday a barge worker called police after seeing a body in the river. The worker contained the body until the Department of Natural Resources and Knable arrived. Knable said the body was found 1.5 miles downstream of the Middle Creek Boat Ramp, directly south of 5 Mile Lane, in New Albany.
