MAUCKPORT —
Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that occurred in Harrison County early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, just after 2:30 a.m., where the victim had been transported for treatment.
The driver, Michael Dean, 23, of Mauckport, was operating his Yamaha ATV when he lost control and overturned it, a press release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources says. He was thrown from the ATV and suffered minor injuries, including a possible concussion. Dean was not wearing a helmet or any other safety equipment. Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident, the release says.
