New Albany man facing three felony drug charges

NEW ALBANY — A 46-year-old New Albany man faces three counts of illegal drug possession after being arrested following a traffic stop.

Charles J. Lane, of the 400 block of Jefferson Street, was stopped on West Spring Street near the Interstate 64 off-ramp just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday. According to a New Albany Police Department news release, he was observed by an officer speeding on his motorcycle.

Lane was discovered to be illegally in possession of the drugs hydrocodone, Xanax, and Loritab.

He was booked into the Floyd County Jail on three counts of possession of a controlled substance, all class D felonies.
