NEW ALBANY —
The Collingsworth Family will be making a return trip to the Silver Heights Retreat and Camp Center in New Albany on Thursday, June 7.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. Concert goers are asked to park at Scribner Middle School and ride the shuttle bus to the Silver Heights center.
The Collingsworth Family are regulars on many of the Gaither Homecoming Concerts and have traveled extensively across the United States performing their Gospel music.
The family was one of the 2012 Dove Award recipients for their “Fear Not Tomorrow, God is Already There” song. They have won numerous awards with their many talents at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville each year and around the world.
The Collingsworth Family is made up of parents Kim and Phil, and children Courtney and Brooklyn.
Kim Collingsworth grew up in New Albany. She was one of nine children and her father, Rev. Jim Keaton, was pastor at Clear Fork Wesleyan Church located off Budd Road. Kim began playing the piano for her congregation at age 8.
