CLARK COUNTY —
Troopers from the Indiana State Police Post in Sellersburg conducted an Impaired Driving Roadblock at 10th Street and Indiana Avenue Wednesday night, and into the early morning hours Thursday.
The roadblock targeted impaired and dangerous drivers. Troopers issued 16 traffic tickets, 11 traffic warnings and arrested five impaired drivers, according to an ISP press release. Troopers also made a felony criminal arrest for possession of controlled substances and charged four people for minor consuming and possessing of alcohol.
The Indiana State Police will continue to conduct saturation patrols and checkpoints in Clark and Floyd counties to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving.
