NEW ALBANY —
After finishing their finals, students at Indiana University Southeast will become graduates at the school’s 44th commencement at 4 p.m. on May 7, at the IU Southeast Amphitheater.
The university’s graduating class has 1,138 students, 1,048 who will walk the stage at IU Southeast. Another 48 who will recieve their degrees at a separate ceremony by the Purdue University College of Technology at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, at the Ogle Center.
Students in this year’s graduating class are from 21 counties in Indiana, four different states with a third of them coming from Kentucky through the university’s reciprocity agreement.
Since 1968, IU Southeast has graduated more than 24,000 students.
Starting Sunday, check www.ius.edu for information on whether the school plans to use the rain schedule for commencement.
Rain schedule: Commencement will take place in the Activities Building in two separate ceremonies for different schools: noon — Arts and Letters, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Continuing Studies; 4 p.m. — Business, Education and Nursing
