Downtown Jeffersonville’s 2013 calendar of events released

JEFFERSONVILLE — The 2013 calendar of events for the historic downtown Jeffersonville district has been announced.

There are a wide range of events and festivals planned, from concerts, parades and a chocolate stroll to walking tours, ice skating and a wine walk.

“There are so many great events that take place in downtown Jeffersonville and we invite the public to enjoy them,” said Jay Ellis, executive director of Jeffersonville Main Street Inc., the community’s nonprofit downtown revitalization organization, in a news release. “Offering all of these events throughout the year helps make our community a more appealing place to live, shop, work and visit.”

These events are hosted by a variety of organizations, and are the result of planning and partnerships by the city, nonprofits and local businesses.
