NEW ALBANY —
Members of the New Albany Police Department’s FLEX unit and Indiana State Police troopers executed a search warrant at 225 Galt St., at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday, and arrested four people on felony drug charges.
Upon entering the residence, officers found the four people inside along with evidence of methamphetamine and other illegal drug paraphernalia.
Arrested were Wayne E. Coomer, 48, who said he lives at the Galt Street address; Orval L. Thomas, 44, of Hardinsburg; Cynthia A. Gehlbach, 44, of Laconia; and Shannon L. Burris, 36, of Corydon.
The four face multiple drug charges including allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine, a class B felony, operating an illegal drug lab, a class C felony, and possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony. They also face misdemeanor marijuana and paraphernalia charges.
