Jeffersonville’s Board of Public Works and Safety signs contract with health company

JEFFERSONVILLE — Jeffersonville’s Board of Public Works and Safety approved a contract with Occupational Health Solutions during its Wednesday morning meeting.

The company — which provides health risk assessments, biometric testing and other wellness related services — will be paid on a claim-by-claim basis. Insurance agent Edward Culpepper Cooper, with Maverick Insurance, said the contract is needed in order for the company to provide the service.

Last year, the city accumulated about $30,000 in charges for wellness services with a different provider. He said he expects a savings by switching to Occupational Health.
