Shepherd third at Indianamat.com tourney
Jeffersonville wrestler Alonzo Shepherd placed third at the Indianamat.com tournament on Sunday in the 121-pound weight class.
Shepherd defeated three state finalists from Ohio before losing by one point to the Illinois state champion to earn the third-place finish.
The Indianamat.com tournament is a feeder tourney for the Super 32 Tournament in North Carolina, one of the top preseason tournaments in the country.

Bridgepoint student wins ISWA triple crown
Bridgepoint Elementary School third grader and Team Jeff wrestling club member Matthew Munoz was honored as a Triple Crown winner at the ISWA Annual Meeting in Indianapolis on Sunday.
Munoz earned the accolade by winning state championships in Greco-Roman, folkstyle and freestyle wrestling.
