NEW ALBANY —
Five Grenadiers scored in double-figures as IU Southeast rolled to its eighth straight win with a 97-60 victory over Cincinnati Christian on Tuesday.
Haris Batalevic had 21 points, Kegan Clark had 18 points and 11 rebounds, Jake Simpson and Cameron Mitchell each finished with 17 and Terence Billups added 13 points and 12 rebounds, both season highs, in the win.
The Grenadiers’ swarming defense held the Eagles to just 26 percent shooting in the first half and IU Southeast was able to jump out to a large lead and led 48-24 at the half.
Kegan Clark led the way with 16 points and nine rebounds in the first half.
IU Southeast (14-3, 4-0 KIAC) shot a sizzling 49 percent from the field and 45 percent from behind-the-arc.
CCU’s D.J. McCommons and Austin Irrer each had 12 points for the Eagles, who dropped to 7-10, 1-1 KIAC.
IU Southeast will head to KIAC rival IU East on Saturday for a 2 p.m. contest.
