CLARKSVILLE —

Heintzman struck out two, walked one and hit three batters to even her record at 5-5.
“She threw strikes and the defense helped her,” Clarksville head coach Tim Hauber said. “We played pretty well.”
The Generals (9-8) scored all of their runs in the first three innings. Clarksville’s Shelby Carta had a double, while Heintzman and teammates Ali Sparkman and Natalie Morlen each collected a single.
The Generals got a good defensive effort from Lex Medlock, who made seven assists at third base.
Clarksville will travel to Austin on Tuesday.
