Charlestown girls to host camp
The Charlestown High School girls’ basketball program will hold its Lady Pirate Basketball Camp for current grades K-7 at the Charlestown High School auxiliary gymnasium from May 21-25.
The camp will run each day from 3:30-5 p.m. at a cost of $35 per camper, if registered before Tuesday, May 15 and $40 per camper if registered after the 15th.
The camp fee includes a T-shirt, after school transportation to the high school, as well as a drink and snack for each camper.
The camp focus will be on fundamentals, using new drills and skill stations along with challenging competitions to begin to develop each camper into a fundamentally sound basketball player.
Proper shooting technique, passing, ballhandling and defensive strategies are just some of the things the Charlestown girls’ basketball coaches and players will teach during this camp.
Campers can print out a registration form at www.charlestownpiratepride.com. For more information, contact Charlestown head girls’ basketball coach Sam Terrell at sterrell@gcs.k12.in.us.
