Struck receives Hurrle Award
Jeffersonville wrestling coach Danny Struck was awarded the 2012 John Hurrle Memorial Award, which is presented annually by the Indiana State Wrestling Association to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the sport of amateur wrestling in the state of Indiana.
The recipient is chosen from nominations submitted by ISWA member clubs and directors and is presented to the recipient at the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame Banquet, which is held each year in February.
“No one better exemplifies the traits and a standard set forth by Coach Hurrle, and has done more for the kids of Indiana wrestling state wide than coach Danny Struck of Jeffersonville High School,” said Louis Rosbottom, who is the Indiana State Wrestling Association chairman. “Danny’s tireless efforts are reflected in the leadership roles that he has assumed in various important wrestling organizations across the state and nation.
