Willem F.G. ‘Bill’ Wiese

66; Army veteran

JEFFERSONVILLE —  

Funeral services for Willem F.G. “Bill” Wiese, 66, of Jeffersonville, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 8, at Calvary Episcopal Church, Louisville, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 6, 1943 in North Holland, Netherlands, was a former resident of Goshen and was shipping coordinator for CL Cook A Dove Corp. He was member of Calvary Episcopal Church, Louisville, Boy Scout Chief of Old Ox District, softball umpire for ISHAA and membership chairman of Irish Society of Kentuckiana. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 1832 and chairman of the board of Tarcana Credit Union and Louisville Catholic Community on Scouting.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathleen Wiese; three sons, Matthew Wiese and his wife, Jill, of Frisco, Texas, Dennis Wiese and his wife, Jill, of Goshen and Jarrod A. Pierce, of Jeffersonville; two brothers, Nicolaas Wiese, of Jeffersonville and Milo Wiese, of Elkhart; a sister, Marianne Hite, of Goshen; and grandchildren, Mya, Jacob, Dawson, Tyler, Camden, Braydon and Miller Wiese.

Visitation at Coots Funeral Home in Jeffersonville will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, March 7.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
