>>SOUTHERN INDIANA — Funeral services for Wanda Lee Tarter, 81, of Charlestown, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. She died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at St. Catherine Regional Hospital.
She was born April 16, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Clifford and Lorene Long Willmann. She worked in real estate and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sellersburg.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth E. Tarter, of Charlestown; daughters, Debbie Hughes, of Charlestown, Tammy Pierce and husband, Gary, of New Albany and Melanie Beard and husband, Mel, of New Washington; sister, Norma Freudenstein and her husband, Louis, of Indianapolis; sisters-in-law, Ruth Tarter, of Jeffersonville and Ida Scholcraft, of Salem; several nieces and nephews; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
