William F. “Bill” Thompson

75; of Greenville

Graveside services for William F. “Bill” Thompson, 75, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Crown Hill Cemetery, New Washington. He died Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at his home.

He was born Nov. 27, 1936 in Bay City, Mich., to the late Elder L. and Winifred Gale Thompson and was the widower of Ramona Joyce Thompson his wife of some 28 years who died March 10, 2012. He along with his wife Ramona, were the owners and operators of Bill’s Pawn and Jewelry in Louisville, for the past 32 years. He was a member of the Kentucky and National Pawn Brokers Associations, National Wild Turkey Federation, N.R.A. and National Federation of Independent Businesses. He loved the lake, outdoors, hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family surrounded by nature. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him but most of all by his family.

Survivors include his children, Joseph G. Prestigiacomo and his wife, Mary Ann, Pamela Pendleton, Kelli Neafus and her husband, Billy, and Ramona Prestigiacomo; nine grandchildren, SPC Tyler Neafus, John, McKinsey, and Kelly Neafus, Kaitlin, Alex, Joe, and Justin Prestigiacomo, and Burke Pendleton.; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Neafus and Taylynn Wilson; and a brother, Eldon J. Thompson and his wife, Glynda.

Reception of family and friends will be from noon until 7 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany. Procession will leave from Kraft Funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday for graveside service at Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington.

Memorial contributions may go to St. Judea Children’s Research Hospital or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
