Funeral services for Russell Wheeler Couch, 92, of Charlestown, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, at the Community Presbyterian Church, 1370 Monroe St., Charlestown, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. He died Friday July 10, 2009, at his residence.
He was born July 22, 1916, in Clark County, to Claude and Ella Bottorff Couch. He was a retired foreman for Essroc Inc., a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, volunteered for the American Red Cross and was a veteran in the Army Air Corp. during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Anita Farley Couch; son, Greg Couch, of Charleston, S.C.; daughter, Pam Ballard, of Charlestown; brothers, Robert Couch, of Charlestown, William Couch and Claude “Bud” Couch Jr., both of Sellersburg; sister, Kathryn Stephens, of Russell Springs, Ky.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and at the church after 9 a.m. Monday.
