Evelynn Annette Saunders

64; of Jeffersonville





A memorial service for Evelyn Annette Saunders, 64, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 2 p.m, Feb. 6, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 321 East Market Street, Jeffersonville. She died Friday Jan. 26, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Suffolk, Va., on Sept. 21, 1946, the daughter of Frank Austin Saunders and Doris Creel Saunders. She was a resident for many years of Jeffersonville graduating from Jeffersonville High School and working for more than 15 years as a switchboard operator for Jewish Hospital, in Louisville. In her later years, she assisted her mother in operating a piano and organ business in Clarksville.

She is survived by her brother Frank Saunders and his wife Barbara, residing in California; her nieces Kari Saunders Chao and Andrea Saunders, also living in California; and by her nephew Evan Saunders and family, living in Milwaukee.

Donations in lieu of flowers are requested for the Family Health Care Clinic, 1319 Duncan Avenue, and the Center for Lay Ministries, 213 East Maple Street, both in Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
