Gettelfinger, Rebecca ‘Becky’ Friedman

58; of Floyds Knobs

A funeral Mass for Rebecca “Becky” Friedman Gettelfinger, 58, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, Floyds Knobs, with burial in the church cemetery. She died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany, after complications from kidney failure.

She was a graduate of the Sullivan Business School, a housewife, a mail carrier for the Floyds Knobs post office for several years, and the CFO of their family business, Logo Apparel Plus. She enjoyed sewing, playing euchre, bingo with her family and friends, and loved playing with her favorite dog, Dillon. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. She never forgot her main goal in life, which was to be there for her family.     

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Gettelfinger; son, Todd Gettelfinger and his wife Jennifer; daughter, Kristin Gettelfinger and her husband, Erik Robinson; sisters, Jackie Baumann and her husband, Cletus, Brenda Kruer and her husband, Jerry and Michelle Kirchgessner and her husband, Bill; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Dorothy Gettelfinger; and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Mary Friedman.

Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, from noon to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 4 p.m., Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Augustine’s Home, 2345 West 86th St., Indianapolis, 46260-1981.
