Carolyn M. Bezy

74; of Georgetown

Funeral services for Carolyn M. Bezy, 74, of Georgetown, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, Georgetown, with burial in Wolfe Cemetery. She died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.

She was born in New Albany on May 16, 1938, the daughter of Clifford LeRoy and Effie Ellen Langley Owen. She was a homemaker and a member of Georgetown Christian Church where she was a key worker with the church food pantry.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Lewis Bezy, of New Albany, and Robert Wayne Bezy and his wife, Shirley, of Palmyra; a daughter, Michele M. Compton and her husband, Stephen, of Jeffersonville; her mother, Effie Owen, of Georgetown; three brothers, Fred Owen, of Corydon, Doug Owen, of Marengo, and Chris Owen, of Georgetown; two sisters, Beverly Kelly, of Georgetown, and Barbara Bezy, of Goodyear, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Owen Jr. and a sister, Paula Neff.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Georgetown Christian Church Food Pantry.
