Funeral services for Evelyn “Bernice” Johnson, 89, of New Albany, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany. She died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at her home.
She was a native of New Albany and was the widow of Arthur Orville Johnson. She was a retired production worker at the old ICI America and a member of the K & I Railroad Retirement Reunion Group. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her sons Michael Johnson (Barbara) of New Albany, Randy Johnson (Janet) of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren Ronald Johnson, Stephanie Young and James Johnson; great grandchildren Justin and Allison Johnson, and Samantha and Jacob Young; five step grandchildren; and five step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Lee and Irene Wolfe; and sister Ada Welz.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, New Albany and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church.
