A funeral Mass for Nancy T. Henderson, 80, of Jeffersonville, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jeffersonville, with burial in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. She died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.
She was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa to the late John and Golleh Saab Aboud. She traveled the world before raising her family in Southern Indiana. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffersonville and a former parishioner of St. Michael Catholic Church, Charlestown.
Survivors include her daughters, Dr. Kathryn Jacobi and her husband, Jerry, and Carolyn Fox and her husband, Rick; son, Keith Henderson and his wife, Dr. Amy Hallal; grandchildren, Joshua Rogers, Anastasia, Alexandria and Andrew Henderson, and Vadra Sprague; and sisters, Agnes Reilly, of England, and Lilah Aboud, of Lebanon.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. H. “Junie” Henderson.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany.
There will be a Rosary Service at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Augustine or Providence High School.
