Funeral services for Lillian E. Thomas, 88, of Corydon, will be at 1 p.m.. Friday Oct. 26, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Indian Creek Nursing Home.
She was a native of New Albany and served in World War II in the Women’s Army Corp.
She is survived by her sons, James Thomas, of Borden, George Thomas Jr., of Marengo, and William Thomas and wife, Dara, of Henryville; daughters, Georgetta Darnell, of Marengo, Judy Thomas and husband, Tommy, of Marengo, Vickie Thomas, of New Albany, Thelma Simms and husband, Ralph, of Tazwell, Ada Campbell and husband, Coy, of English, and Linda Watts, of Tazwell; 24 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Thomas, daughters, Carol Fink and Doris Pearson; grandson, Carl Thomas, father, Roscoe Hawk, mother Agnes Crosswhite, and husband, George Thomas Sr.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and Friday 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
