Funeral services for John R. Ison, 57, of Jeffersonville, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a crane operator at Medals U.S.A. He was a past commander at American Legion Post 35 and a Vietnam War veteran. He was a native of Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Harrison, of Jeffersonville; daughter, Candice Ison and her husband, James Groves, of Shepherdsville, Ky.; stepsons, James P. Hubbard, of Corbin, Ky., Daniel R. Hubbard, of New Albany, and Joseph D. Hubbard, of Jeffersonville; mother, Carla J. Bashlor, of Yankney, W.Va.; brothers, Robert J. Ison, of Kingman, Ariz., and Michael Hann, of Denver; sister, Ginger Roberts, of Dayton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe B. Ison.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
