A funeral service celebrating the life of Una Mae Chaney, 80, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Oak Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Palmyra Cemetery. She died Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
She was the former Una Mae Martin, and she was self-employed in the house-cleaning business. She was a volunteer for The Salvation Army, the firefighters toy drive, the American Red Cross for 14 years and was a lifetime member of the Heartland Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah M. Wright; two grandchildren, Tonya Boone and her husband, Robert, and Jessica Newkirk; and four great-grandchildren, Madison, Grace, Alyvia and Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Y. Chaney and her son, Dennis Chaney.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
