Eugene “Gene” Dale Collins, 86, of Jeffersonville, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Lifestyle Adult Care in Clarksville.
He was born in Watson, was a retired truck driver for Occidental Chemical and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Myrtle Collins; a grandson, Don Lockhart and his wife, Tracy, of Jeffersonville; a granddaughter, Linda Lockhart, of New Albany; two great-grandchildren, Anna Lockhart, of Jeffersonville, and Michael Lockhart, Los Angeles, Calif.; and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Jean Finley-Lockhart; and a brother and sister.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, at Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow immediately at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
