Margo Augusta Parson

64; of New Albany

Funeral services for Margo Augusta Parson, 64, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Galatian Missionary Baptist Church, New Albany. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at New Albany National Cemetery. She died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at her home.

She was born July 2, 1947 to Leonard and Lucille Brown. She was a devoted daughter, who took excellent care of her mother and was a great babysitter to her nieces and nephews who they loved and adored and affectionately called “Aunt Margo.”

Survivors include her step-daughter, Kim Parson; mother, Lucille Brown Bell; brothers, Kent Brown and his wife, Tonya, First Sgt. Chad Brown and his wife, Geraldine, Jamie Bell, Leonard Davidson, and Juan Davidson; sisters, Diane Artis, Linda Brown, Charlotte Buchanan, Tamara Rickman and her husband, Raymond, Robin Brown, Stacy Trowell and his wife, Jamie, Lisa Bell, Tracey Bland and her husband, Richard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Parson; her father, Leonard Brown and her step-father, James Bell.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the church.

Spring Valley Funeral and Cremation Service is entrusted with her care.
