Robert E. White

68; of Louisville

Funeral services for Robert E. White, 68, of Louisville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Fern Creek United Methodist Church, Louisville, with burial in Tennessee. He died Sunday, June 24, 2012.

He was retired from General Electric, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a former scoutmaster of Boy Scout troop 56, and a member of Fern Creek United Methodist Church, Louisville Woodcarvers and Kentucky Beekeepers.

He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Thelen; sons, Rob and his wife, Melissa, and Dave; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddie Mack and his wife, Cheryl, and Ralph and his wife, Lanell; and stepchildren, Roseanne Brown and her husband, Steven, and Ronald D. Fosnight II  and his wife, Kim.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Mary Alice Pinkston.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today, at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
