Funeral services for Betty M. Jones Herman, 88, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m., Monday, March 19, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jeffersonville, with burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. She died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at her home.
She was a huge IU and Jeffersonville High fan. She volunteered at Little Angel, was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the church Quilting Club, and was an avid gardener and seamstress.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Carter and her husband, Jimmy, of Utica, Dianne Gardner and her husband, Charlie, of Indianapolis, and M. Charlene McAndrews and her husband, Dennis, of Jeffersonville; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Herman; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Katie Carter; parents, Herschel and Bernice Jones; one brother; and five sisters.
Visitation will from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville.
